About This Site

I got my domain name on August 28th, 2005. I'd wanted one for absolutely years, and once I turned 18, I finally got one! I've always found making websites a lot of fun, and have been messing around with HTML and CSS since I was on Neopets a couple of years ago, where those who could beautify their user profile pages were regarded as higher beings. They aren't any more. But still, that was how I started learning how to code pages.

I then moved on to creating sites on Angelfire and Freewebs. They weren't particularly impressive; I think I made/ started a couple of Neopets help pages, and a few random pig pages with my friend. We like pigs. I also made an anti- Hilary Duff site, which had some pretty nice coding, even if I say so myself. (That site is languishing in the deep depths of sites I no longer update- I felt the latest pictures of her spoke for themselves. Slap my wrist).

After letting out my angst on an anti Hilary Duff site, I figured that I could focus on something a little more positive; that way, I could show off my website to my family without feeling mean at the same time. So, off to Freewebs I went, and started up a mini version of Unlockdivinity at around the beginning of May 2005. I went through three prospective layouts (I loved the second layout, but go figure, everyone else hated it), and finally settled on this blue layout. I also went through a bunch of names before I settled on Unlockdivinity.

I chose Unlockdivinity because it was always my intention to try and create a large site; something that people could go deeper into if they chose, but could also swim around happily on the surface of the site, should they prefer to do that.

And as we all know by now, Bette Midler is... divine!
