Happy Birthday Unlockdivinity.com! - 10th October 2006
Last week, Unlockdivinity.com officially became one year old! Unfortunately, I've been a little busy so missed the day itself, however in honour of the site's first birthday (or should that be anniversary?), a new desktop wallpaper has been added.
Also, a new chat section has been added- at the moment it can only be accessed through the forums. It's highly spiffy and good fun, so do take the time to check it out!
I'd really like to say thank you to everybody who has visited and supported this site so far- particularly the people who have directly taken part in the site via forums, guestbooks and surveys, as well as the other webhosts in the Bette community who have linked me and given great help and support.
Thank you guys- here's to another year!
Forums.Unlockdivinity.com Are Back In Business! -22nd September 2006
As you may have noticed, the forums have been offline while the software was being updated. I am very pleased to announce that the forums are back!
To access your account, please log in with your usual username. You will need to check the email account you signed up to Unlockdivinity.com with to retrieve your password, which can be changed once you have logged in.
Due to my limited knowledge of databases, all usernames that have made posts have been manually recreated, however even though I was unable to transfer the posts, all post counts have been kept.

In other news, the email to contact me regarding this site has changed to unlockdivinity at googlemail.com. I’m hiding behind the Google shield to protect my email from spam. Fingers crossed!
A new link has been added to the links page- BetteMidler.de. It's a really pretty site and has a page listing Betteheads' MySpace accounts! If you have a MySpace, it's a great place to go and find other Betteheads.

Update Time!- 21st November 2005
First and foremost, news of Bette's Peggy Lee Songbook CD... Due to a computer bug/ small miscalculation by Sony, some copies of The Peggy Lee Songbook are being taken down from the shelves. It seems that some copies of the new CD have got a program on them to combat piracy, which also makes a small 'hole' in your computer which hackers have reportedly been exploiting. Check your new CD for the product number- a list of 'infected' Sony CDs and their product numbers can be found here. Any CDs containing the program can be exchanged here.
Bette will be appearing on The View next Monday, November 28th. This will be starting at 11am E.T, and 10am P.T. Set your videos!
Hopefully everybody enjoyed last week's MSN chat- I hear it was short but sweet! Congratulations to anybody who sent in a question that got chosen for Miss M to answer.
The multimedia section has been updated; in honour of Bette's latest tribute CD, the featured song is 'Hey There' from Bette Midler Sings The Rosemary Clooney Songbook, as performed in Atlanta on her Kiss My Brass tour.
Up last, three new chat icons have been added to the Icons section. Please note that none of these icons are link-able off site! If you wish to use any of these icons on other sites, they must be saved to your computer and uploaded onto the internet elsewhere, otherwise you'll get a mini red 'x' appearing instead of the icon.
News Updates- 12th November 2005
Bette news updates: On Wednesday, November 16th (this Wednesday!), Bette will be taking part in an online live chat- this will be taking place at 7pm ET/4pm PT. For more details about this, click here. (Note: This will not be available in the UK, due to the closing of MSN chat in 2003. All YUKers gnash teeth at MSN--- now! All other Betteheads, we're relying on you!)
Although UK fans will have to miss out on Miss M being on MSN chat, she has appeared in the UK's 'Reveal' magazine, and has been mentioned several times in 'Heat' magazine this week regarding Hulaween. Scant consolation maybe, but stiff upper lip! The Heat mentions were really quick mentions, but a picture of Bette in her Hulaween rose outfit was shown in Reveal, along with a little snippet of information about Hulaween. A small cutting of this can be found in the spanking new gallery, under the even more spanking new gallery album, entitled 'Hulaween 2005'. The gallery has also been updated with more pictures of Bette in various photo shoots, along with a few more general pictures.
The Peggy Lee page has been updated with the liner notes from inside the front cover of the CD- unfortunately, Bette's notes aren't as long as those on The Rosemary Clooney Songbook, however there is a very interesting read about the similarities between Bette and Peggy Lee, which includes a couple of Bette quotes in it.
A last bit of news for anybody intending to buy Bette's new CD off Amazon.co.uk (again with the YUKers!)- it is now being released from Monday, November 14th. Anybody intending to purchase it off Amazon.co.uk can buy it here
Congratulations Miss M! - 6th November 2005
Bette Midler Sings The Peggy Lee Songbook has reached number one in the Amazon CD Sale charts, number ten in the Billboard top 200, and number eleven in the Billboard Top Internet CD Sales- a big congratulations to her!
The Peggy Lee Songbook will be released in the YUK tomorrow- let's hope the CD does as well over here as it did in the US/Canada...
I'm sure the lucky few who attended Hulaween last week had a great time- any attendees who wish to share their story/ pictures, please get in contact- we'd all love to hear from you! I'll be updating the gallery with a couple of pictures of Bette in her rose outfit soon.
Unlockdivinity updates- the filmography has been completed! Instead of a few cast lists for Bette's earlier films, the pages have been beefed up a little and now include the Amazon links and a few interesting tidBettes of information to go along with the movie. The discography soundtrack pages now have links to the corresponding movie page, and vice versa.
For those of you who prefer more visually attractive updates, a new chat icon has been added to the Chat Icons section, and Unlockdivinity now boasts a little favicon (the rather fetching 'U' which appears in your favourites list- you may need to re-favourite this site to your list to see it in action).

A little news on the Peggy Lee CD front- fans from the YUK and Australia will have to wait a little longer for the release of Bette's new CD- the release date for the UK is now November 7th, 2005 and the release date for Bette's Australian fans is now January 26th, 2006(!). Peggy Lee CD Bits And Bobs...- 24th October 2005 News first and foremost... There will be an exclusive CD signing in NYC tomorrow night for the first 300 people who purchase Bette's new album, The Peggy Lee Songbook. These albums must be purchased from Tower Records in the Village from 9.00am onwards (tip: get there early!!), and the first 300 people to purchase the album will be given a wristband pass to attend the signing later on (the signing itself will take place at 7.00pm). It has now got a new look to fit in with the release of The Peggy Lee Songbook, as well as information about the CD signing, a music page featuring the names of the tracks appearing on the new CD, plus the tracks that were on The Rosemary Clooney Songbook. Introducing Multimedia!- 15th October 2005 A few bits and bobs have been added to the site since the last update... The gallery has been updated with a couple more movie stills, Bette's CD album covers, and a couple of Kiss My Brass pictures. A new interview link has been added to the interviews section- part of a press conference regarding the Australian leg of Bette's Kiss My Brass tour. (Thanks to anydivineday in the forums for the heads up) Bette's soundtracks have been added to the discography section of the site- some people never miss a trick! :) The soundtracks are now up there with the other records- they can be found under the 'Discography' menu, under the subheading 'Soundtracks'. Last site update for the time being, a new Multimedia section has been placed under the 'Interviews' link in the main menu! All songs in this section will be 'ram' format, so in order to play them, you will need to have RealPlayer installed on your computer. (If you don't have it, I've included a little link to the RealPlayer site where it can be downloaded for free). After much discussion and debate (with myself) the song kicking off the new section is Shiver Me Timbers from the Kiss My Brass tour. More news on Bette appearances... She will be appearing on The Today Show (NBC network) on Monday, October 24th, 2005. Set your videos!
A Few Additions- 5th October 2005
Before I start, I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone for their kind comments about the site in the guestbook and forums- I appreciate them! Another thank you to the people who have so far joined the forums, and a super big thank you to those who have 'taken the plunge' and had a good ole' post!
Just a few small site updates... First off, the chat program has been altered a little bit so that it is no longer a messageboard disguised as a chat, and is in fact a 'chat' now. The messages were not being deleted for several hours (days- the horror) after they had been posted, so I had a bit of a fiddle and all messages will now be deleted one hour after they have been posted.
The trivia page's 'answers' section has been spruced up a bit... Instead of the answers being simply highlighted, they have now got a nice little tidbit of information following them as well.
...And a little Bette news for any USA/Canadian people- Bette will be appearing on Letterman on October 26th, 2005- the day after the release of the Peggy Lee Songbook!

As this is the first site update, I'd like to say a big fat welcome to you! Please bookmark this site and continue to check back for regular updates regarding Bette news as well as site updates. I'd also like to give a quick plug to our forums, which are now up and running, and (hopefully) now devoid of any technical problems.
Unlockdivinity.com updates- Discography pages, Warp Bette and Filmography pages have all been jigged up a little and added to. Also forums are now online after being taken down for layout jigging.
